Description
The significance of zinc for plant growth pertains very much to its participation in nitrogen metabolism. Zinc deficiency leads to a significant accumulation of soluble nitrogen compounds of amines and amino acids, which hampers protein synthesis. And also under the influence of zinc, the synthesis of sucrose, starch, and the total content of carbohydrates increases. Zinc influences plant growth and development and increases resistance to adverse conditions.
