Description
Calcium is very important for plants. It influences the metabolism of carbohydrates and proteins. The earliest growth stages require calcium, it is necessary for the formation of plants. Calcium regulates water balance, provides normal conditions for the development of the root system of plants.
Calcium promotes the absorption of important nutrients by plants, influences the availability of a number of macro- and microelements for plants.
The lack of calcium inhibits the processing and absorption of reserve nutrients (starch, proteins), which are used by seedlings, young leaves and growing shoots, which can lead to the drying out of young growing parts of the plant and then to the death of the whole plant.
Besides, calcium is involved in other important biochemical processes of the plant: it facilitates transportation of carbohydrates in plants; strengthens cell walls and their bonding to each other, contribute to the development of the root system, is necessary for leave development, increases the resistance of plants to certain diseases, stimulates the activity of nodule bacteria that fix nitrogen from the air.
Revitaplant Calcium:
- regulates water balance;
- promotes carbohydrate transport in plants;
- strengthens cell walls and bonds them to each other;
- promotes root system development;
- is indispensable for leaf development;
- increases plant resistance to some diseases;
The following dosages are recommended for soil dressing:
Strawberries – 1 l/ha. Ready-to use solution consumption: 150-200 l/ha. To be carried-out exactly before flowering starts.
Vegetables (tolerant to calcium) — 1–1.5 l/ha. Ready-to use solution consumption: 150–200 l/ha. To be applied before flowering.
Fruit trees, apple-trees, bushes - 1–1.5 l/ha. Ready-to use solution consumption: 600–800 l/ha. Soil dressing to be carried out before bud bursting.
